Therefore, if we could suggest many routes we would require tens of pages more.

The third excursion on the mountainous part of North Evia excites the visitor for the extent of the route.Begin from Istiaia and follow the road towards Pefki. This excursion is as interesting as the previous one; comfortable and quite interesting for those who want to see the mountainous region of Istiaia area. By going along the central road from Istiaia towards Boutas, you turn left at the crossroads to the villages of Kamaria, Kamatriades and Galatsades. After going past the low lying village of Kamaria, you start the ascent towards the two neighbouring villages of Kamatriades and Galatsades.
This route, doesn’t surpass the 35 kilometers distance, is as exciting as it is easily accessible since the roads are paved and not very busy. The central road from Istiaia leads straight to the village of Voutas. Here it’s up to you to decide on either visiting the quaint village that spreads out to your left or to follow the road that leads you to the village of Kokkinomilia.

We will give a general description of the route (not necessarily making suggestions) with starting point being Aidipsos. Of course he visitor can choose any other point to depart from, provided there is a degree of tourism at point of choice.
The total distance of our first suggestion is approximately 115 km while the second is a little over 140 km.
The roads are in good shape and problem free, while the road signs serve their purpose at best, at least according to Greek standards. The areas and villages that the visitor comes across are of great beauty and interest that this daily excursion can offer no more than just a taste of the wonders of Evia. The crossroads are by themselves a challenge for the visitor to leave the chosen path and wander into them.
